1. Who We Are

Latencot ("we", "us", or "our") is an Indian product studio that builds software products including Keeway (password manager), URL Shortener, QR Generator, and the Sankalp Pol portfolio AI chat at sankalppol.com. We are operated by Sankalp Pol, reachable at sankalppolk123@gmail.com.

This policy covers our software products. Physical products purchased through our online store at latencot.store are governed by the separate privacy policy published on that store.

2. Information We Collect

When you sign in to any Latencot product that requires authentication, we collect:

  • Name and email address from your Google account, provided via Google Sign-In (OAuth).
  • Chat messages you send through the portfolio AI chat.
  • Usage data such as message counts, necessary to enforce per-user limits.

We do not collect payment information, precise location, or any sensitive personal data.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To authenticate you and maintain your session.
  • To provide the AI chat service and store your conversation history.
  • To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Google User Data and Limited Use

Latencot's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

  • We request only your basic profile information — your name and email address — through Google Sign-In.
  • We use this data solely to create and authenticate your account and to operate the service you signed in to.
  • We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
  • We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve the service, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition.
  • We do not allow humans to read your Google user data unless we have your consent, it is necessary for security or to comply with the law, or the data has been aggregated and anonymised.

5. Third-Party Services

Our products use the following third-party services that may process your data:

  • Convex (convex.dev) — backend database and authentication infrastructure.
  • Groq (groq.com) — AI inference provider that processes chat messages.
  • Google OAuth — used for sign-in; governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Amazon Web Services — hosting infrastructure.

6. Data Security

We protect your information with industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls that limit who can access stored data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to promptly address any issues we become aware of.

7. Data Retention

Your account data and chat history are retained for as long as your account exists. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at sankalppolk123@gmail.com.

8. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you may withdraw consent for Google Sign-In at any time by revoking access from your Google Account permissions. We use session cookies strictly necessary for authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
